Is Islam are religion of terror?
Ultimately any religions impact in the world depends upon how it's followers interpret and follow it's scripture. The teachings of muhammad are recorded in the Quran and the Hadiths. Both speak of killing all the infidels (non-Muslims or Muslims with Christian/Jewish friends) it also says that it is ok if women and children die in the nighttime raids (Volumn 004, Book 052, Hadith Number 256). When muhammad was forced to move to Medina the writings of the Quran became more violent. At this time his followers were conducting raids on caravans (where Jews and Christians were also trading) from Mecca. Then ultimately conquering the city and making it his religions holy city.

When Christians in the name of God create war we are inconsistent with the Bible and the teachings of the Lord. When Muslims do acts or terrorism they are being consistent with the teachings of muhammad. This does not mean that Islam is a terrorist religion but it can be justified in their teachings.
ReplyDeleteGod gave commands in the Old Testament to make war with different peoples at specific times for the sins of the people and to cleans the land. When his people did the same sins he had the land cleansed for them and brought war against them. These were for specific times and places there is no mandate to be continued but the opposite to love your enemy and do unto others as you would have them do to you. We are to fight our enemy with love and win them over
ReplyDeleteQuran surah 8:39 vs Luke 6:27
ReplyDeleteSurah 8:39 And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is all for Allah. But if they cease, then lo! Allah is Seer of what they do.
Luke 6:27 But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you
Muslim view their religion as the final revelation from God. They use a metaphor that Judaism is like elementary school, Christianity is like High School and Islam is the University. However it is a radical departure from God's revelation. God is seeking to redeem humanity not destroy it. God allowed for his people to do some acts of war in the past but now wants us to love everyone. Islam is not moving in this direction but in the opposite. God gave his word to Jewish people then gave more to the Christians that was consistent and upheld the previous now Islam is teaching that the Old Testament and New Testament are not the original word of God but rewritten over the centuries. With findings like the dead sea scrolls and other ancient manuscripts we have dis-proven that hypothesis that muhammad had. He was born 570 years after Christ and over 1,000 miles away with little exposure to Christianity or Judaism and was also illiterate so the idea that he even knew what the scripture said in detail is highly unlikely.
ReplyDeletemuhammad said got his revelation from the angel Gabriel in a cave. The word of God says in 2 Corinthians 13For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing the Angel he was unsure if it was an Angel or a Jinn (deamon) and his wife told his that it had to be an angel (Ibn Kathir, The Life of the Prophet Muhammad [Al-Sira al-Nabawiyya], Volume I, pp. 296-297). His grandfather wife and other family members were Jinn worshipers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ub9wrAni85o).
